Individual Note:
     (Westcott Morris farmed in Strandveldt, S. Africa, in early days and then when the sons came (there were six) he moved to Cape Town and entered the Cape Customs so that the boys could be educated.
Served with his brother Cholmeley Morris in the Kaffir war of 1852 in South Africa. His life was saved by the gallantry of a brother Officer, when he was lying dangerously wounded in three places by assegais.
