Ctee Somerset Rural Community Council and Countryside Ctee, memb Somerset Guild of Craftsmen, memb Parish Council, Govr Curry Mallet Sch; b 9 July 1898; m 27 Feb 1922 (divorce 1950), Sir Philip Harvey du Cros, 2nd Bt (see BURKE'S Peerage), and has issue,

          Date of will 1 Feb. 1630. Noncupative.

          To his daughter Joan Mallet 500 pounds, provided that she be advised in the choice of her match by her mother and her uncle Gawen Mallet, esq.
          He gave her also the reversion of that tenement now in tenure of the widow Chedsey in West Quantokeshead.
          Residue to his well loved wife Mrs. Katherine Mallet, executrix.

          Witnesses: Gawen Mallet, John Lancaster, Thos. Wood vicar of Milverton and                                Grace Strang.

          Commiss. 14 Nov. 1655 issued to Henry Fulford, esq. ‘nepos’ ex filia of said
                    Michael Mallet, esq., deceased, to administer goods of deceased according to tenor of will, not yet administered by Catherine Mallet relict and Executrix, also dead.

                    I have by deed conveyed to my dau. Susan Mallet my lands in Stapleford and Upcott in Hatherleigh (with proviso that if my son Wm. pays her 100 pounds the grant is void) I now grant to Susan one quarter of the rectory of Lynton.
                    My sons John M. and Emanuel M.
                    My son William Mallette 4 children 5 pounds at 21.
                    My daughter Margery Old and her son Oliver,
                    Residue to Will. Mallett my son, executor.

                    By deed of 20 July 1643 I granted to John and Emanuel my sons the rectory of Lynton: I now grant them each an annuity of 5 pounds from Aysshe.
                    Nicholas Westlake holds of me certain ld. called Waterhouse in Monckokehampton: one moiety of sd. land to John my son and the other to Emanuel; unless William my son pays them 20 pounds each when grant shall be void.
                    Ash to go to my son Wm. and his heirs male on the body of Ulalia his late wife decd.

          Witnesses as above.

Codicil undated.

                    To Eleanor the d. of my son Wm. Mallett the revers. of ten. and cottage now in the ten. of John Davy the elder for her life, after death of John Davy.
