Individual Note:
Sir Humphrey Stafford and his wife built Blatherwycke Hall in 1713, but it was pulled down in 1948 after irreparable damage by troops billeted there in WW2. The only remaining remnant of the estate is a statue of The Appollo Belvedere in an adjacent field.

From the 16th Century to the early 18th Century Blatherwycke was the seat of the Staffords. When in 1720 Susannah Stafford died, Henry O'Brien inherited the estate and had the house rebuilt to designs by Thomas Ripley. The house was demolished in 1948.
