Doubtful if resided. Styled Charles Noel-Edwards, 1797-8; and Noel Noel, 1798-1823. Adm. at Lincoln's Inn, Dec. 12, 1803. Of Catmose Lodge, Rutland. M.P. for Rutland, 1808-14. Succeeded his mother as 3rd Baron Barham, 1823, and his father as 2nd Bart., 1838. Created Earl of Gainsborough, Aug. 16, 1841. Married (1) July 1, 1809, Elizabeth, only dau. of Thomas Welman, of Poundsford Park, Somerset; (2) May 13, 1817, Elizabeth, dau. of the Hon. Sir George Grey, 1st Bart., and had issue, one son; (3) June 29, 1820, Arabella, 2nd dau. of Sir James Hamlyn Williams, Bart., of Clovelly; (4) July 25, 1833, Frances, dau. of Robert, 3rd Earl of Roden. Died June 10, 1866. Father of the above and of Roden B. W. (1854). Brother of Gerard T. (1801), Baptist W. (1817), Berkeley O. (1819), and Leland (1817).
