Assignment quoting DD/N/195/15 (12th & 13th Dec. 1735) - as heirs male have failed reversion is vested in Miss Nevile & heirs to attend the inheritance

DD/N/6 - date: Will: 14 Nov 1798; Codicil: 13 Feb 1806[from Scope and Content] Will (copy) of George Nevile of Thorney. 6[from Scope and Content] All estate which descended to him from Cowley Palmer (uncle) in Donington valued £9,000; £2,500 in securites (£300 on bond of John Huthwaite of Nottm., late wine merchant & £500 on bond of late Lord Scarborough) to son Christopher & daughter Maria. Maria to have £6,000, Christopher £5,000 & son Edward (sic.) advowson of Wickenby (Lincs.) & £3,000; surplus to be divided between Chris. & Maria. Estate in Yorks. settled on younger children has been sold, with improvements, for £4,232.9s.6d., of which £2,000 secured on Newton estate, in possession of Chris. Nevile of Wellingore & £1,792,2s.3d. in Government stock & £503.17s.3d. in Bank stock - sum to be divided equally between them as wife is provided for by jointure out of Thorney estate now more than doubled in income by improvements (building, planting etc, not taken into consideration). Hopes wife will take no advantage of error in marriage settlement giving her inadvertently power over money settled on younger children.[from Scope and Content] To eldest son Nevile great tithe of Wiggesley in Thorney and advowson of Thorney "which I have at length purchased for benefit of estate, and money lent to him to purchase chambers in Greys Inn". Wife to allow him £200 p.a., & trusts that wife (if continues any regard to my judgement, opinions or memory) "will never allow herself to become dependent of him".[from Scope and Content] Memorandum of agreement between Mr. & Mrs. Nevile over jointured estate at Thorney (7.Oct 1784). Then producing per annum £6,000 and still rising, instead of £4,000 at marriage. Mrs. N. to sacrifice up to £200 p.a. to be settled on eldest son during her life from the improvements of this estate, without damaging estate.
