Enid travelled from London, England to Mombasa, Kenya aboard ship Mantola of the steamship line B.I.S.N.Co., captained by D.F. James on March 12, 1935. The ship was bound for Beira, Mozambique. She was aged 39. In 1938, she again travelled this route, listed as Enid Elizabeth Dauncey Tongue, age 41.
