Individual Note: 1851 census: He and wife visiting with brother Gerard in Tilton-on-the-hill at Vicarage. In 1870, George NEVILE owned almost all of the land in the parish and resided at Stubton Hall. Prior to him, Sir Robert HERON, baronet, was the owner of the estate. In the early 1900's, Sir Ralph Henry Sacheverel WILMOT, baronet, was owner of Stubton Hall and most of the land around it. The hall was unoccupied by 1913.

Individual Note: J.P. 1920 parts of Kesteven, Lincs., formerly Sudan Civil Service, educ. Malvern. Never married, lived in the family home Wellingore Hall, Lincs. with sister Nellie. Both were keen golfers and played for England. Geoffrey managed the large agricultural estates.
Wellingore Hall was a large stone mansion, residence of Geoffery Henry NEVILE in 1871, originally built in 1750. Attached to it was a Catholic domestic chapel dedicated to St. Augustine, erected around 1882. The chapel burnt down in 1884 and was rebuilt the following year
