(1) to (2) Manor of Thorney & all (1)'s property in Thorney & Wiggesley to use of (1) & after death to wife, Barbara, for 5 years or till her death then to younger sons Gervais, Dionysse & Antony Nevile & their heirs provided they yield their property in Stoke, nr. Newark to (1)'s exors. within a year of his death.
In 1575, for 500 pounds he bought from George Park of ’
Haddington, yeoman, the manor or capital messuage called the Westhall
garth in Haddington, a hamlet in the parishes of South Hykeham and
Aubourn. In 1584, George Nevile of Haddington, gent., probably the
same, is found lending 22 pounds on a mortgage of two parts of a toft called
Spring garth in Haddintgton. George settled his Haddington property
on his~second wife, Mary, daughter of John Williamson of Gainsborough.
